180 Days English

After all the lessons ended at 01.30, Runi decided to go back to the dorm and return her school bag before going to the cafeteria for lunch. She felt she had used all her strength and now there was no any half - horse power energy left. Moreover there is still half an hour before lunch time arrives. Maybe she can laid down for a moment on Leiny’s soft mattress and keep her eyes open, because if she fell asleep and missed the lunch time then she should fast until the dinner hour arrived. There is another one of the unique rules of the Leiny’s school: no food except at mealtimes. So that's where Runi ended her first journey, Leiny room.
Runi opened her eyes, a white ceiling roof welcome her. There is a lazy atmosphere that covered hers with very friendly before she raised her right hand and look at the hand clock form a right angle bracket at three. Runi jumped out of bed, grabbed school bag, and ran out of the room. Now she is really TOO LATE to attend council meetings and certain she will get worse rhetoric from Gerda.
“What are you thinking about, oh stupid girl!” she muttered, sprinting toward building the student activity center. “Student council room, where the student council room,” she said as she read the description of each room she passed.
“Sorry, I am lat--" cried Runi while pushing the student council room’s door hardly. Now the whole room had turned their attention from the student in the front of the room toward hers. “Late, very late, I'm sorry! I 'm so sorry!”
“The poor nations’ culture that led a very rich country like Indonesia is not advanced,” fumed a female student named Melaine. “Outrageous, you are almost half an hour late.”
“Did not I apologize?” said Runi while looking for an empty seat.
“Is that as simple fixing a mistake?” said Melaine again. “Does that mean we do not need the courts?”
“Why? Are you afraid your ambition to become a case broker is somehow can’t be reached?” said Runi spicy.
“Once somebody is noisy again please come out!” said Gerda warned from the front of the room.
“True, we are not supposed to argue like an uneducated person. We are the best school in terms of the debate, aren’t we? How can be a coachman debater—”
“Shhh, don’t noisy!” Runi snapped.
“Do not cut my words; don’t you ever follow the debate class? Why interrupt people as—” Melaine said began angrily.
“Mr. Chairman, she is noisy, let’s expelled her,” Runi cut again.
“What do you mean? I 'm talking and you're cutting me, so why do I–”
“Shhh, this is the council meeting!” Runi cut again as if she does not know Melaine’s subject speak.
Melaine eventually give up and stop debating Runi because she knows that the more she argues the more she would look ridiculous in front of her friends. After the incident there are no other events that disrupt proceedings. The total time required to establish a student council meeting that day was an hour, an half hour in the presence of the general secretary and an half hours without her presence. Strange indeed, but Runi does not really care about it. She is more concentrating on her stomach which is now playing the song ‘Bangun Pemudi Pemuda’(' Youth Build Young women '?) with a fast tempo and more upbeat than Leiny’s school marching band. Runi feels hunger. Therefore, when the meeting finished and Gerda closed it by several other words, Runi almost did prostration of gratitude, even though she knew she would not get a meal after the meeting.
“Congratulations for the IESO,” said Runi while leaving the meeting room with Gerda. “You're great!”
“Want to praise so as not to be punished? The meeting, make a report!” Gerda commanded; disregard Runi’s congratulation for him.
“But, I just followed the last half-hour meeting,” Runi protested.
“That's why I want you to make it. Consider it as a punishment,” Gerda said as he walked out of the council room.
